MK Stalin condemns move to privatise recruitment exams
Chennai: DMK working president MK Stalin opposed Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission’s proposal to allocate recruitment exam related work to private companies. This comes after other opposition members like PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss condemned the move on Friday.
Privatization would lead to illegal activities and corruption, Stalin said, as positions such as DSPs, forest department officials, ministerial staffs are all filled through the TNPSC.
TNPSC issued tender notification seeking bids to conduct online examination from private companies.
The commission said it took the decision to hand over the work to private companies to fast-track recruitments and releasing results. A senior official from TNPSC said that computer-based test would be implemented shortly where candidates would have to answer multiple choice questions. While pointing out the recent court cases filed against malpractices in the TNPSC exams, Ramadoss said, “There is a possibility that training centres might employ benamis to bid for online exams and may try to outsmart the exams by leaking question papers to their candidates.”
