HD Kumaraswamy directs DCs to hold 'Janata Darshan'
Bengaluru: Upset about people travelling hundreds of kms to meet him for solution to their grievances, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Saturday ordered all deputy commissioners to hold 'Janata Darshan' once a week in their respective districts to address problems of local people.
He told the media here a circular would be issued in this regard in a day or two, instructing these authorities to address issues in a time-bound manner. "I have seen many people coming from far away places to meet me. I have noticed that many of their problems can be resolved at the district level itself. So I have decided to make it mandatory for all DCs to hold Janata Darshan once in a week", he added.
Chief Minister has also said that he will conduct review once in month about progress achieved by every deputy commissioner in resolving these problems through video conference facility and take action against erring authorities.
