Hyderabad: After removing non-controversial encroachments, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has removed about 300 encroachments in Erragadda which were occupied by vegetable and fruit vendors.
After removing 4,669 footpath encroachments during the three-day drive last week, the special enforcement teams of the GHMC have removed as many as 1,271 encroachments on Saturday.
Teams 1, 2 and 5 have removed 536 permanent/semi permanent encroachments and 156 movable encroachments from Rethibowli X Road to Rajendernagar X Road.
Meanwhile, Teams 3, 4 and 6 have removed 204 permanent/semi-permanent encroachments and 375 movable encroachments from Kukatpally BJP office to Panjagutta X Road. This also included 300 vendors from Erragadda fruit market.
