Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) may exhibit the jewellery in its treasury to dispel the doubts cast by former chief priest Dr A.V. Ramana Deekshitulu, but doubts may persist on the Srivari Potu.
It appears that there would be no objection from Agama advisers to display the jewels; a similar decision had been taken during the tenure of Mr Bhumana Karunakar Reddy as TTD chief.
The decision was then withdrawn due to security issues. This time, the executive officer, Mr A.K. Singhal said the TTD was ready to provide security.
TTD will find it difficult to counter the other allegation that the Srivari Potu was dug for treasure, as the place, where prasadam for the lord is prepared, is not open to people.
