Chennai: Girl leaves home over low Neet score, found in Bihar
Chennai: The 19-year-old girl who left her house after failing to clear Neet entrance exam was traced to Bihar on Wednesday and her family rushed to Bihar to bring her back home.
According to the police, R. Kodeeswari (19) of Reddy Colony Road in Nammalwarpet near Purasawalkam, was said to have scored lower marks that she scored in last year exam. Ironically, she had got BDS seat last year but refused to join BDS college hoping to get MBBS seat this year. After her disappearance, her father Ramar and family searched at many places before filing a complaint with the Secretariat Colony police station.
Meanwhile, the police also gathered CCTV footages from Central Railway station to find her.
“Fortunately, Kodeeswari had switched her mobile phone on, on Wednesday afternoon and Chennai police received an alert. The phone was traced to Patna in Bihar. Immediately, Bihar police were informed about the missing girl and the phone number was shared with them,” the police said.
Responding to the Chennai police request, Bihar police formed a special team and tracked the phone to a hotel in Patna, where the girl was rescued.
Secretariat Colony police Ramar and the family about the whereabouts of the girl. “The family members flew to Patna to bring the girl on Thursday. They are on their way to Chennai,” the police said.
