Hyderabad: Mutation certificate applications will soon be downloaded from the concerned website, thereby cutting out the lengthy process time that it takes now to transfer property ownership rights. In an effort to further the ‘ease of business’ strategy promoted by the central government, the TS government plans to introduce several reforms. One such reform is to integrate the mutation process with the registration process through automatic updating of land and property records during the registration itself.
To operate this reform state government has issued orders authorising all the sub-registrars of Registration and Stamps Department to collect mutation fee at the time of registration and share the information with the urban local bodies concerned. This would automatically initiate mutation process at the time of transfer of immovable property since the necessary transaction details are already available with the respective municipalities and municipal corporations.
The government feels with this process, transparency will be maintained as all particulars of a land will be available on one platform. Applicants will be facilitated and both time and bother will be saved.
