N Chandrababu Naidu: People First' is the mantra

Chief Minister urges people to perform Jala Pujas to welcome the rains.

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials and public representatives to consider ‘People First’ concept as Tarakamantra. Mr Naidu who claimed that response is good for Nava Nirmana Deeksha had also announced establishment of a special coastal employment zone to AP by Union Government, next to Gujarat. Mr Naidu, in a teleconference on 6th day of Nava Nirmana Deeksha on Wednesday, gave many instructions to officials.

Mr Naidu said People First is a people-centric initiative with an efficiently integrated system for grievance redressal, and had unified communication channel. It has given toll-free number 1100 which can be dialled by public of the state for reporting their issues. Mr Naidu said it was good to see 10 lakh public participating in the five- day Nava Nirmana Deeksha. Mr Naidu said, public will answer the opposition on ruling party’s anti-incumbency.

To welcome the rains, he asked people perform Jala Pujas. He suggested increasing the public attachment with nature. Mr Naidu said Central team would inspect lands to be allocated for the special employment zone in Chittoor and Nellore districts. He directed the districts collectors to identify lands and provide needed measures prior to the central team visit.

Mr Naidu expressed his hope on Chennai-Nellore-Tirupathi to be the Tri city corridor. Mr Naidu expressed hope that the TD will not lose elections in future. He said that his government was committed to the Kapu reservations and will fulfill its promises to the community after receiving the report from Manjunathan Commission. The chief minister said that net annual income of the common man in state has increased by almost 40 per cent.

Mr Naidu called upon the public to stay away from financial offenders who were real threat to the country. He said that his government is giving priority to the happiness index and conducting programmes like Happy Sundays to make people happy. He said that 1100 call centre has been showing positive results. He pointed out that there was a 750- member dedicated team that was working round the clock in the programme to solve the grievances of the public.
