Congress seeks Miyapur land scam information
Hyderabad: Former home minister Sabita Indra Reddy led a delegation of Congress leaders on Wednesday to the Chief Commissioner Land Administration and demanded details of registrations done in the controversial lands in Miyapur in survey Nos. 20, 28, 100 and 101 measuring 693 acres.
The delegation demanded the government publicise details of the landholdings as well as land registrations in the said area and also officials and non-officials involved in the illegal registrations.
Former minister Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Parigi MLA T. Rammohan Reddy, former MLAs Bikshapathi Yadav, Devireddy Sudheer Reddy, Kuna Srisailam Goud, Kitchennagari Laxmareddy and Ranga Reddy District Congress Committee president Kyama Mallesh met the CCLA.
They alleged that due to the market value of land hovering between Rs 10 crore and Rs 15 crore, registration officials and bigwigs in government as well as private individual colluded to grab the entire 693 acres land for real estate ventures. The value of this grabbed land would amount to Rs 10,000 crore, they said.
They said that unless government officials and ruling party leaders collude, such a major scam could not have happened.
