Telangana Advocates harden their stand

Police intervened when they resorted to blocking the road in front of the High Court building.

Hyderabad: T-advocates on Tuesday said that they will boycott AP-native subordinate judicial officers if they failed to withdraw their options to continue in TS.

The T-advocates, who have been agitating against the delay in bifurcation of the common High Court at Hyderabad between AP and TS, continued their agitation on the second day by boycotting lower courts in all the districts and in Hyderabad.

The T-advocates also staged a protest in front of the Nampally Criminal Courts and Ranga Reddy Court complex, demanding immediate bifurcation of the High Court and also recall of the provisional allocation of subordinate judicial officers among both the states.

Telangana High Court Bar Association president Gandra Mohan Rao and T-Advocates JAC co-convener T. Sriranga Rao cautioned that they will boycott subordinate judicial officers of Andhra origin if they remained reluctant to withdraw their options.

Meanwhile, the Telangana High Court Bar Association called an extraordinary general body meeting on June 9 to decide the future course of action.
