Khammam: The increasing temperatures in Khammam and Kothagudem followed by sunstroke deaths are causing fear among the people.
So far, 15 people have died due to sun-stroke in the last ten days and the number may increase.
The temperature in Bhadrachalam, Palwancha and Kothagudem is more than 44 degress Celsius in the last two days. The workers in open cast mine areas, KTPS, Bharat Heavy Water Plant and ITC company in Bhadradri district are suffering because of the scorching sun. The workers complained that they felt weak after working two hours during the day time.
