Telangana: Congress to visit major agriculture market
Nizamabad: A team of Congress leaders will visit all major agriculture market yards in the state soon and extend solidarity with farmers who are struggling since they are unable to get remunerative prices for their agriculture produce.
Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Mohammad Ali Shabbir told the media here on Sunday that the TRS government has failed to address the plight of the farmers. “Chilli, turmeric and soya bean farmers have incurred heavy loss due to inefficiency of the TRS leaders,” he alleged.
“Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his minister son K.T. Rama Rao, daughter MP K. Kavitha are mesmerising the people with false promises,” Mr Shabbir Ali alleged.
adding that the misrule of the TRS has adversely effected all sections of the society.
He demanded Rs 8,000 minimum support price for turmeric farmers along with bonus.
