BJP bosses will resolve crisis: Shobha Karandlaje
Mysuru: Admitting that “everything is not well in the BJP and it is a fact that has upset all of us and the people,” Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje who spoke to the media at the end of the two-day state executive meeting here on Sunday, expressed the hope that the central leadership will resolve the problems and “we fill face the 2018 assembly elections successfully.”
Answering a question, Ms Karandlaje who was targeted by rebel BJP leaders for being too close to BJP state president B.S. Yeddyurappa, said, “In a family it is common to have clashes. And yes, such small clashes have happened. Attempts have been made to resolve the issues. We have been together, we have been talking to each other. Several leaders have said that it is necessary to stay united to succeed in the assembly elections. Murlidhar Rao who participated as the representative of the central leadership, will report on the deliberations to the top brass. Now the ball is in their court, we are sure our Central leaders, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah will resolve all conflicts,” she said.
Answering another question, she said, “PM Narendra Modi himself has ordered the dissolution of several organisations which have come up in his name, he has said that any activity must be carried out in the party forum. Programmes concerning the backward communities must happen in the party forum, not in Sangolli Rayanna Brigade. I think the Brigade will be dissolved but I am not sure what the central leadership has decided on it.”
The executive committee discussed the failures of the state government and resolved to hold mega protests in all districts, she said.
According to Ms Karandlaje, Mr Eshwarappa, who had led the rebellion against B.S. Yeddyurappa, also participated in the proceedings and spoke on the drought.
