Belgian woman molestation: Ola cabbie sent to 14-day judicial custody
New Delhi: The Ola cab driver, who was arrested for allegedly molesting a 23-year-old Belgian woman on Saturday, has been sent to 14-day judicial custody.
The case in this regard was registered at the CR Park police station in South Delhi after the woman approached police and filed a complaint against the driver a few hours after the incident.
The cabbie had reportedly asked the victim to come and sit in the front seat with him on pretext of GPS device not working, then the driver brazenly snatched her phone and allegedly kissed her.
After stepping out of the cab, she informed her friend and later lodged a complaint at the CR Park police station in South East Delhi.
Ola has terminated the services of the accused cab driver.
Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has asked Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung to submit a report on the alleged molestation of a 23-year-old Belgian girl by an Ola cab driver.
