Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will host the state government’s annual Iftar party on April 12 in LB Stadium. CM’s Office special secretary Bhupal Reddy was asked to make arrangements for the event.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, A.K. Khan, government adviser on minority affairs, said that the Chief Minister who has been taking special interest in serving the devout for the past several years will be hosting 12,000 invitees at the event.
“This will be the culmination of a series of programmes undertaken throughout the state including distribution of clothes and Dawat-e-Iftar in 815 mosques in the city and 400 at other places in the districts. In most of these mosques these programmes are almost at a stage of completion. This Iftar party will be like the grand finale for these events across the state,” Khan said.
