Each vote to BJP will strengthen border: Purushotham Rupala
Khammam: For the BJP, a vote in its favour will strengthen the country's borders. The statement was made by Union minister of state for agriculture and farmer welfare Purushotham Rupala.
Campaigning at Khammam in support of BJP candidate Devaki Vasudeva Rao, Mr Rupala said Pakistan had created havoc on the borders and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a fitting reply by conducting a surgical strike.
The neighbour country is not only running terrorist camps but also sending terrorists to India. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered surgical strikes and destroyed the terrorist camp at Balakot. Countries like England, France and US extended support to India,” he said.
He said Mr Modi knew more than the others how to secure the borders and the people had to strengthen his hands by sending more BJP MPs to the Lok Sabha.
On other measures of the Centre, Mr Rupala said, “PM Kisan scheme is an excellent one and all marginal and small farmers are getting `6,000 per acre every year. The first instalment of `2,000 has been deposited into the accounts of kisans. Farmers can use this to procure inputs for farming,” he said.
“Earlier only 15 paise of every rupee sent by the Centre used to come to gram panchayats. Now, all the 100 paise of every rupee is reaching the villages after Modi came to power," the minister said.
He said the other schemes introduced by the Modi government like Ayushman Bhava, Jan Dhan bank accounts, accidental insurance, Atal pension scheme and Ujjwala were excellent. He said women were cooking using LPG gas due to the Ujjwala scheme. The poor were also getting electricity supply.
