Non-bailable warrant against union minister YS Chowdary for loan default

Court had issued summons to the minister to appear before it, but he failed to appear for the third time.

Hyderabad: The XII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate on Thursday issued a non bailable warrant against Union minister Y S Chowdary, a non-executive director of Sujana Universal Industries Ltd, for failing to appear be-fore the court with regard to a case filed by the Mauritius Commercial Bank.
The court had issued summons to the minister and two other directors to appear before it with regard to a complaint filed by the bank for recovery of Rs 106 crore.
When the case came up for hearing on Thursday, the magistrate noted that though the other two directors were present, the minister had failed to appear for the third time. Bank counsel Sanjeev Kumar said the minister flouting the orders of the court on regularly,
