Andhra University notice to professor for missing survey

The students weren't pacified and demanded a written guarantee of the promises.

Visakhapatnam: The AP Council of Higher Education has issued a show cause notice to Andhra University Registra, Prof. V. Umamaheswara Rao for allegedly not furnishing the required information for the MHRD survey of universities on Thursday.

Busy with the visit of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in January, the varsity officials hadn’t provided the data for the survey under the National Institutional Ranking Framework. Several universities had made it to the top-100 list and University did not find mention because it had not provided the data.

Elsewhere, students of the integrated engineering courses continued their protest for the second day on Thursday. They were alleging partiality in valuation and demanding a few changes in their certification pattern.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. EA Narayana, Registrar, Prof. Umamaheswara Rao and Engineering College Principal Prof. Ch.V. Ramachandra Murthy met the students. The students weren’t pacified and demanded a written guarantee of the promises.
