Hyderabad: The GHMC on Thursday sealed three pubs and issued notices to another five at Road No. 45 in Jubilee Hills for not being in compliance with the norms.
The corporation closed Fat Pigeon, Dock 45 and Fusion 9 which were certified as illegal. Two others, Heart Cup Coffee and United Kitchens of India did not have permission for parking space. Tollgate did not have trade and food license, which came to light when the corporation officials went to collect property tax.
It had also deviated from the layout plan and constructed a wall.
Heart Cup Coffee was running in a residential zone and United Kitchens of India was operating with an expired temporary food and trade license which was obtained online. Fat Pigeon, Fusion 9 and Dock 45 were constructed illegally, the officials said. The civic body also inspected five stores and issued notices for violation of fire safety and building norms.
Khairatabad zonal commissioner, Musharraf Ali Faruqui, said that he had visited eight pubs and five stores for property tax collection and was surprised to learn that none of them were in compliance with the norms. He said that inspections will continue in other areas as well and that they shall resolve parking nuisance in residential areas at the earliest.
