High Court grants relief to ex-speaker in contempt case
Mr Chary for not abiding by the court orders for restoration of the Assembly memberships of the duo.
Hyderabad: The division bench of the High Court comprising Chief Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and Justice A. Rajashekar Reddy on Thursday gave relief to former speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary by staying all proceedings against him in a contempt case filed by Mr Komatreddy Venkatreddy and Mr A. Sampath Kumar, former Congress MLAs who had been expelled from the previous Assembly.
Justice B. Sivasankara Rao had initiated contempt proceedings against Mr Chary for not abiding by the court orders for restoration of the Assembly memberships of the duo.
