Expected Modi attack but nothing happened, says Mallikarjun Kharge
Kalaburagi: PM Modi seems to have left senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge disappointed by preferring not to make any reference to him in his speech here on Wednesday.
Mr Kharge made no secret of his disappointment during the interaction he had with the media here on Thursday. “I feel he did not take my name because there is nothing to say against me and he obviously cannot appreciate the projects I have implemented in my constituency,” he said. He took objection to Mr Modi’s allegation that Kumaraswamy was a remote-controlled CM. “It’s not Kumaraswamy, it’s Mr Modi who is remote-controlled by RSS. This coalition will survive based on understanding between the partners,” he said. Later addressing a function, Mr Kharge lambasted Mr Modi for“cheating” people of Kalaburagi. “I expected him to come here to turn the land of rocks (Kalaburagi) into land of gold. But he cheated us. Should he come here to inaugurate projects which benefit people of Bengaluru and Hubballi?,” he said.
