God made me fight against evil, says Tejraj Sharma

He reportedly told the police that the deva (god) possesses him and guides him to fight against evil.

Bengaluru: Tejraj Sharma (33), the accused, who stabbed Lokayukta Justice P. Vishwanath Shetty multiple times inside his office reportedly felt remorseless and in fact, condoned his action.

According to sources, who didn't wish to be named, he told the police soon after his arrest that he has been ordained by God to take up the crusade against corruption and that Wednesday was an auspicious day.

“He reportedly told the police that the deva (god) possesses him and guides him to fight against evil. Tejraj is a loner. His mother and brother have abandoned him and he lives by himself in a small rented room in Tumkaru. He is originally from Rajasthan. Tejaraj hardly has any income and is often unable to pay the monthly rent of Rs 1,500,” said an official source.

His room is full of pictures of Hindu gods. His neighbours once took him to a temple and left him there after he said that the deva had possessed him. They suspected that he might be indulging in black magic, He looks mentally unstable, the source added.
