Ex-MLA booked over insult' to Dr B R Ambedkar
HYDERABAD: On a complaint from Mr Tumma Bhoomanna, founder and state president of Telangana Rashtra Ambedkar Sangam, an ex-MLA was booked by Medchal police for defiling the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar. The complainant stated that the ex-MLA, Mr Kichannagari Laxma Reddy, deliberately put his hands on the statue of Dr Ambedkar and rubbed the head of the statue with the the fingers of his left hand.
The complaint was received on Wednesday afternoon by the Medchal police. Mr Tumma Bhoomanna, who stated in his complaint that on Sunday, when the Congress bus rally reached near Medchal town, the ex-MLA, Kichannagari Laxma Reddy, intentionally, with a motive to defile Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s statue, deliberately put his hands on the head of the statue and started to rub it with his left hand fingers.
Mr Bhoomanna has requested Medchal police to punish Mr Laxma Reddy. Based on a complaint, a case has been booked against the ex-MLA.
