The Bench asked the counsel to inform the CBSE about this order so that the CBSE could upload this order in its website.
While the CBSE is amending the examination bye-laws for differently-abled candidates related to qualification of a scribe or various exemptions time to time as per the need, the state education department is least bothered about it, much to the dismay of the special students.
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday made it clear that Aadhaar is not mandatory for students appearing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test and they can produce other means of identity, viz ration card, voter identity card, driving licence, passport and bank passbook.
In a brief order the Supreme Court bench said students appearing for Neet examination or any other all India competitive examination need not necessarily produce their Aadhaar card as they can produce any other proof of identity for taking the examination.
