Vijayawada: National techno fest today

About 1,500-2,000 students will participate in this festival.

Vijayawada: A one-day national-level techno fest, Sitar-2k19, would begin at PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology College, Vijayawada in February 8.

About 1,500 students form 67 engineering colleges across the country will participate and will present 275 papers, apart from displaying 47 model projects in different modules of the 6 engineering disciplines. Technical activities, apart from several discussions and interactions with experts would also be included in the techno expo.

On the occasion, College convener Boyapati Sriramulu had released a wall poster and addressed the media, here on Thursday.

He said that the college management had been organising the natoinal techno festival for the last six years.

About 1,500-2,000 students will participate in this festival, he added.

Mr. Sriramulu said that there will be several engineering knowledge-based activities and competitions at the expo like paper presentation, technical quiz, Ideathon, coding contest, project expo, contraption, business quiz, young manager and market makers.

PVP Siddhartha Engineering college Principal Dr. K Sivaji Babu informed that about 256 students are going to share their views with their ideas in the 64 stalls allocated in the college campus. Fest coordinators, HoD of ECE, Dr P. Rajesh Kumar, Associate professor in English Dr, Rudramadevi, and Prof. Dr J. Rajendra Prasad, Dr MV Rama Krishna were present.

Adding to this the cultural festival like dancing, Histrionics, Light Music, Mock Press, Debate Group Discussions, Short film making, Electusion, Personality Contest and other competitions will entertain all the participants who are from other states” added Convener.
