PM visit to state opposed by TD

The rally began from Morampudi Centre and passed through all the main thoroughfares to reach Kotagummam Centre.

Rajahmundry: Telugu Desam activists, led by Rajahmundry Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudhary, on Thursday took out a bike rally in protest against the scheduled visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Andhra Pradesh.

The rally began from Morampudi Centre and passed through all the main thoroughfares to reach Kotagummam Centre. Addressing the agitating party supporters, the TD legislator said that Mr Modi, at the time of last elections, made several promises but failed to fulfil them after getting elected to power. He said that residuary state of AP suffered great injustice as the BJP-led NDA regime failed to implement several provisions incorporated in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014 and also several assurances made in Parliament.

The TD senior leader wondered how Mr Modi could visit the state despite having meted out a lot of injustice and said that the TD leaders and supporters were staging protest bike rallies all over the state opposing the visit of the PM to AP.
