PK Firoz forged my letter, alleges James Mathew
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM MLA James Mathew has denied that he had named anyone in his letter sent to LSG Minister A.C. Moideen regarding irregular appointments. He alleged that Youth League leader P.K. Firos, who released the letter to the media on Tuesday, had forged one page of the letter. “I have submitted a complaint to Speaker P. Sreeramakrishnan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan demanding the registration of a case against Mr Firos,” said Mr Mathew.
“I will also take legal action against Mr Firos,” he said.
Mr Firos had released the letter, purportedly written by Mr Mathew on December 5, 2018 to minister A. C. Moideen, pointing out irregularities in various appointments, including to the post of deputy director in the Information Kerala Mission.
Mr Firos alleged that Mr D.S. Neelakandan, nephew of CPM leader and former MLA Koliyakode Krishnan Nair, was appointed deputy director (technical) in the Information Kerala Mission on July 24, 2017 at the behest of CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.
Mr Mathew told reporters here on Thursday that he had not named any person in the letter. However, the letter released by Mr Firos contained the names of many people. This showed that one page in the nine-page letter was forged, said Mr Mathew.
