Bengaluru: In order to remove black spots in the city, Bengaluru development Minister K.J. George on Wednesday laid the foundation for the installation of underground bins in the city.
BBMP is taking up the installation of 200 such bins in the city after the pilot project at 12 locations has proved successful in removing black spots. The contract has been awarded on the basis of operation and maintenance at a cost of Rs 55.28 crore, said Sampath Raj, city Mayor.
