Hyderabad: A day after booking a missing case, Gachibowli police traced University of Hyderabad PhD scholar Ditty Suresh on Sunday.
Police said that after leaving the medical centre, where he had been taken by his father, Suresh had gone to a friend’s room in Gopannapally on Saturday night.
Police said Suresh was upset because he was taken to the health centre. He was handed over to his father, Suresh Joseph.
After completing the formalities, the student was taken to a relative’s house in Tarnaka, said a Gachibowli police officer.
UoH chief medical officer Captain Ravindra Kumar said, “His father came to University from Kerala as he got worried after seeing Ditty Suresh’s Facebook posts. He wanted his son to undergo a medical check up here,” he said.
Ditty Suresh was depressed after Rohith Vemula’s suicide and was behaving abnormally, the CMO added.
