Visakhapatnam: The RK Beach Road and the enclosures on the beach were jam packed with people to witness the climax of the International Fleet Review.
Though people had to walk a long way as the parking lots were located far away, they were seen enthusiastically rushing to the venue Many a place, police found it hard to manage the enthusiasm of the crowd. Some who did not have passes also tried to forcibly enter the venue.
Terraces fully packed
Residents in the apartments along the Beach Road were lucky as they did not have to move out of their homes, face the traffic snarls or walk long distances to watch the grand Navy show.They not only lined up on the balconies but also generously invited guests to watch the proceedings from their homes. They were the lucky ones as they had a grandstand view of the proceedings. Some media photographers positioned themselves on vantage points on the building roofs to get the best pictures.
Cameras remained on
The eagerly awaited ‘Operation Demonstration’ was so action-packed that no person equipped with a camera esabled phone had a moment’s rest. Everyone with a camera was busy clicking pictures of the action. Thousands were busy taking selfies with the Navy events as a unique backdrop.
