Hyderabad: Nine GHMC employees from the west zone, including three tax inspectors and five bill collectors, were suspended for obscene dances at a house in Madhapur on Saturday.
They had been arrested by the Cyberabad special operations team and handed over to the Madhapur police. Based on a case registered, GHMC commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy issued the suspension orders.
The eight suspended employees are tax inspectors K. Padmabushan Raj, Sanjay Kumar and Ranveer Bhoopal (on deputation from Nizamabad) from Circle 11.
Bill collectors K. Krishna, R. Gyaneshwar, K. Ravinder, G. Narahari and Y. Babu Rao were suspended. Their suspension will last till the conclusion of disciplinary proceedings. They employees will be paid subsistence allowance and will not be allowed to leave Hyderabad.
