CM Jagan's social welfare schemes receive praise

ANANTAPUR: Parliamentarian T Rangaiah hailed Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as a “social reformer who brought cheer among the weaker sections” of the society across Andhra Pradesh.

He was addressing an event as part of the YSRC Samajika Sadhikara Bus Yatra at Uravakonda in Anantapur district on Sunday. Huge crowds thronged the yatra and public meetings.

The MP observed that every welfare scheme was reaching at the doorstep of the families without corruption of a single penny across the state. “This is the first time in the history of the country that the people are getting benefits of the welfare schemes at their doorstep without any role for middlemen,'' he stated.
He noted that handloom weavers were being given cash assistance of Rs.24,000 every year for their well-being.

“Samajika Sadhikaratha” has been evident only during the rule of YS Jagan Reddy,” he said and stressed the need to elect Jagan as CM again to enable the weaker sections to get more such benefits.

Uravakonda YSRC in charge, Y Visweswar Reddy, said the coming elections in Uravakonda will be between the poor and the ‘pettamdaris’ and “it is the responsibility of the people to vote for Jagan Mohan Reddy for more development of the area.”

The government brought positive changes to the lives of SCs, STs, BCs and minorities as also the other economically weaker sections during the past four and half years, he asserted.

Urdu Academy chairman Nadeem Ahmad observed that the education system was a burden to the poor people during Chandrababu Naidu’s term. Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy brought exclusive reforms in the system and ensured quality education to students of government schools. “In a similar way, poor people can now get high-quality medical facilities free of cost,” he claimed.

Anantapur ZP chairperson Girijamma, MLAs Shankara Narayana, Hafiz Khan and several others were present.
