Senior doctors hope there will be a change in the gender profile among surgeons.
Earlier, the work was laborious but now, with a lot of equipment we have to learn skills properly. There has to be a lot of detailing. Hyderabad: With reservations for women in postgraduate courses coming into effect from 2014, senior doctors hope there will be a change in the gender profile among surgeons. In 2016, 10 women opted for orthopaedics. Of the 250 medical undergraduates in Osmania and Gandhi medical colleges, half are women. Professors say that they must practise and not give up. This is a concern that is being voiced from every forum.
