Hearing in Chandrababu Naidu assets case put off

After Ms Parvathi had approached the ACB court, Mr Naidu had secured a stay from the High Court.

Hyderabad: The ACB court here adjourned the hearing of the disproportionate assets case filed against TD president Nara Chandrababu Naidu to December 20. The case had been filed in 2005 by the NTR-TD leader Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi.

Ms Parvathi on Friday requested the ACB court to allow her time so that senior counsel could put forward the arguments on her behalf. Allowing the plea, the court adjourned the case.

After Ms Parvathi had approached the ACB court, Mr Naidu had secured a stay from the High Court. The stay was vacated after the Supreme Court ruled that stay orders issued by courts would be automatically vacated after six months.

On this ground, the Hyderabad the ACB special court had decided to reopen the case.
