Vijayawada: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Thursday met Chief Minister N.  Chandrababu Naidu and briefed the latter on the plans of his company Patanjali to set up a mega food park in Vizianagaram.

Baba Ramdev told Mr Naidu that the mega food park will create around 33,400 direct and indirect jobs.

The government, after careful examination of the proposal submitted by  Patanjali, had allotted around 177 acres of land in Vizianagaram.

The yoga guru said that work on the food park will start soon.

Crops including barley, rice, sesame, maize, jowar, pomegranate, mango, chilli, onion, ginger, peas, potato, turmeric, pulses black and red gram and papaya would be processed in the unit.
