Chennai: The EPFO has clarified that it does not demand sensitive personal financial information including OTP received by members over email or phone. The organisation is further seeking the entry of correct data by the employers of their employees as any incorrect entries of personal details, Aadhaar numbers or mobile numbers may lead to their employees facing difficulties in getting their online services from EPFO. It has been further pointed out that bank accounts and mobile phone numbers of individuals should not be shared or mixed with EPFO accounts of any other employees. A bank account of only the concerned employee should be linked to PF accounts. The ERPFO is asking employers to take the utmost care in seeding the mobile numbers of employees as they would be liable for penal action for leding to any fraudulent or incorrect payments.
