Teachers' recruitment announced in Andhra pradesh

On December 15, the notification for the 12,370 posts would be released.

VIJAYAWADA: The most awaited job opportunity has been announced by the AP government. The schedule for the DSC (District Selection Committee) regarding fresh recruitment of teachers was released by the minister for education Mr. Ganta Srinivasarao on Wednesday. Mr. Srinivasrao said that on December 15, the notification for the 12,370 posts would be released. He said the target date of recruitment was June 12, 2018. The written exam would be held on March 23, 24 and 26, 2018. Applications will be received from December 26, 2017 to February 8, 2018 through an online process.

Out of the 12,370 posts, school assistants, SGT, Language Pandits would comprise 10,313 posts while there would be 1197 posts for Model School Teachers and 860 posts for Special Educators. The minister informed that the finance department had given the approval for 10,313 posts but the ministry was still awaiting clearance for the rest of the posts.

Mr. Srinivasarao said the government wanted to give quality education by filling up all the vacancies of the teacher posts. He also informed that the government would conduct an Eligible Test in December 2017 and January 2018. The minister assured those who had qualified in the tests of 1998, 2008 and 2012 that justice would be meted out to them. A committee with MLCs and others would be appointed to study and submit a report on them, he said.

The minister added that that Rs 82 crore had been allotted for the salaries of Model School Teachers. The minister also issued a strict warning to schools stating that those schools that flouting the rules would be derecognised.
