Kerala: Cabinet clears 20 small-scale projects
Thiruvananthapuram: The State Cabinet on Wednesday cleared 20 small scale projects of the private investors as independent power project under the Small Scale Electrical Scheme of 2012. These projects will be for a period of 30 years from the date of signing the contract with the state government. The state regulatory commission will be decided by the state regulatory commission after the project is completed.
The Cabinet also decided to hand over the 83.98 ar of surplus land to the Civil Supplies department for building a warehouse while retaining the ownership of the land with the Revenue department. As many as 34.95 ar of land would be handed over to build the office of the Kochi city police.
The state government gave sanction to the government and semi- organisations to spend upto Rs five lakh to take part in the flower, plant, fruit and agriculture exhibition jointly organised by Tourism department and Agriculture department as part of Loka Kerala Sabha.
The Cabinet decided to revise the salaries of managerial and supervisory staff at the Kerala Feeds, Thrissur. The Cabinet also decided to provide four new posts in Kannur Corporation and 55 posts in the new taluks of Payyanur in Kannur district and Kunnamkulam in Thrissur district. The cabinet also decided to provide Rs 75.68 lakh from the Chief Minister’s
Disaster Relief Fund to the shop owners and their tenants who suffered losses in the fire at Chalai Market on November 14, 2014. The cabinet decided to provide Rs 5.56 lakh from Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to Vinish Elamkara who died while in judicial custody to repay the loan of Idappally Service Cooperative Bank. The government decided to create a supernumory post of higher secondary school teacher in Ezhuvathuruthi school in Malappuram district to accomadate V.G.Baburaj who has 100 percent visual problems.
