G category sites: Panel submits report to Karnataka HC
Bengaluru: A three-member committee, appointed to find out whether the allottees of G category sites were eligible for allotments under the rules and provisions of the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) Act, on Tuesday submitted its report in relation to 56 such beneficiaries.
The committee report said that cases of 53 allottees were found genuine and they could retain their sites. Following the submission, the division bench, headed by Chief Justice S.K. Mukherjee, directed the BDA to execute the sale deeds in a month, in favour of the allottees if 10 years have lapsed from the date of execution of the lease-cum-sale agreements. In cases where this time limit has not been met, the court directed the BDA to execute sale deeds when that happens and one month from the date of execution of the lease-cum-sale agreements.
The committee could not make any recommendation on three allottees, and the court said it would consider these cases subsequently. The case has been adjourned to January 4. Following an earlier HC order, the state set up the committee to examine beneficiaries of BDA ‘G’ category sites after petitions alleging fraudulence.
Demonetisation: HC dismisses petitions
