Thiruvananthapuram: Water supply to be partially disrupted

The public have been advised to adopt the necessary measures to minimise inconvenience during the period, said the statement.

Thiruvananthapuram: Water supply will be disrupted partially in some parts of the city from 7a.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, due to the work related to the installation of flow metre at the 700 mm PSC pipe from PTP Nagar to Vellyam-balam.

The places where the water supply will be disrupted are Sasthamangalam, Vellayambalam, Jawahar Nagar, Nanthancode and Kowdiar, said Kerala Water Authority, Public Health Division (North), Executive Engineer in a statement here on Tuesday.

The public have been advised to adopt the necessary measures to minimise inconvenience during the period, said the statement.

Though, the pumping will be started soon after the work, it is likely that water would reach high rise areas of these places only by late night, sources said.

It would be better to store adequate quantity of water to ensure that the daily chores were not affected by the water disruption, sources said.
