Hyderabad: In order to clear passenger rush, the South Central Railway has arranged 10 Suvidha special trains for Diwali between Kakinada Town and Kollam and from Nizamabad to Kollam and Hyderabad.
The Train Nos. are 82717 and 82718 Kakinada Town-Kollam-Kakinada Town will go via Vijayawada, Tenali, Renigunta Train No. 82717 will leave Kakinada Town at 11.50 pm on Nov. 10, 15, 19 and 23 & arrive at Kollam at 7 am on the day 2. In return, Train No. 82718 will leave Kollam at 10 am on Nov. 12, 17, 21 and 25 and arrive at Kakinada Town at 2.50 pm the next day. The 2 trains would be running 8 services.
No Crackers in Metro Rail
Hyderabad Metro commuters have been requested to avoid carrying firecrackers while travelling in the train during the Diwali season.
Metro officials have said that carrying such items is against the rules as they are dangerous and pose safety and security risk for the entire system and passengers.
Placards placed near the scanning machines in the Metro stations read, “Passengers are requested not to carry crackers and inflammables into stations and trains.”
Passengers who flout this rule will not be allowed to enter the stations and will be sent back, said a police official at a Metro station.
