N Uttam Kumar Reddy promises new NRI policy

TPCC chief also said that the Congress government would put in its full efforts to establish Saudi Arabia and UAE consulates in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy promised a comprehensive NRI policy within 100 days of the Congress government. He also said that the Congress government would put in its full efforts to establish Saudi and UAE consulates in Hyderabad.

Uttam Kumar Reddy in a press statement said, “The Congress government will establish a special NRI wing in all the district collector’s offices. We will initiate a research in all the universities on the reasons and situations leading to migrations. Our government will strengthen centres of the National Academy of Constructions by establishing a skill development centre in all the subdivisions. The government will also ensure the safety of all the gulf immigrants.”

He also stated that a special financial corporation would be set up for Gulf immigrants. “The Congr-ess government will provide legal assistance to all victims who are presently in jails in the Gulf. To end the illegal trafficking of humans, the government will set up continuous surveillance on the recruiting system.” He added that on the request of the gulf immigrants, the Congress party had addressed some more issues in the election manifesto.

“The Gulf workers’ names will be kept enabled in the Aarogya Sri scheme. The government will fund the medical checkups for the employees going to the Gulf. All the payments and charges for the recruiting agencies will be paid only through banks,” he said.
