Jogi Ramesh asked to appear on November 15
Vijayawada: YSR Congress state official spokesperson Jogi Ramesh claimed that he showed the photos of social media about J. Srinivas’s association with Telugu Desam. The Guntur Arundelpeta police called Mr Ramesh for questioning about his statement about Srinivas belonging to TD and he was a member of the party. The police questioned Mr Ramesh and directed him to appear once on November 15 for further questioning.
Srinivas was accused in the knife attack on YSRC president and opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Mr Ramesh during a press meet claimed Srinivas as a member of TD and showed related membership papers. Later TD leader and APSRTC chairman Varla Ramaiah and other TD leaders lodged a complaint in Arundelpeta police station alleging creating fake TD membership card for accused Srinivas and circulating the same in the social media to defame TD.
Mr Ramesh addressing media after completion of interrogation said that he showed the photos which turned viral in the social media but the government is trying to divert the attack case on Mr Jagan by harassing the YSRC leaders in name of inquiry which is severely objectionable. He demanded to file cases against MP Kesineni Nani, who used objectionable words about making pieces of Mr Jagan. He said the police asked to attend for inquiry on November 15 and alleged that AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is damaging all mechanisms in the system. He demanded the police to bring the real culprit in front of the people of AP involved in the attack on Mr Jagan.
He said that the police questioned him for five and half hours. He demanded to book the cases against CM Mr Naidu and other TD leaders including TD ministers for their baseless statements against Mr Jagan. Former MLA and YSRC leader Malladi Vishnu also refuted the allegations of TD about the association of accused with YSRC. The police led by additional SP YT Naidu conducted the inquiry and called for further questioning on November 15. (329w-ilyas)
