Vijayawada: Three mega events have been lined in the city in the coming days.
Social Media Summit and Awards will be held on November 9 and 10 in which Bollywood heartthrob Kareena Kapoor is expected to participate. International powerboat racing will be held between November 16 and 18. From November 23 to 25, Amaravati Air Show will be held.
Social Media Summit & Awards is a massive national movement launched to connect people, content and extended conversations around emerging trends in social media.
Started in 2017, the first edition of the event witnessed leading actors, musicians and entertainers from Indian film and social media fraternity who were recognised as the best practitioners and influencers.
The second edition of this event, planned here on November 9 and 10, would focus on the vital role of social media in the day-to-day life and the change it might bring with respect to information, governance, business, and commerce.
A complete summit, social media expo, awards night are the three important parts of the event. It shall witness participation of distinguished personalities such as Divya Spandana (former MP & Indian film actress), V.V.S. Laxman (cricketer), Mayuk Choudhury (founder of milaap.org) and others.
The award ceremony shall witness prominent personalities such as Devi Sri Prasad (musician), Kareena Kapoor (actress) and others.
The F1H2O World Championship is the 'flagship' international series of single-seater in-shore circuit powerboat racing.
Highly competitive, intensely challenging, risky and entertaining, the F1H2O World Championship is regarded as one of the most spectacular and exciting sports among others in the world.
The event scheduled from November 16 to 18 will have inauguration and practice rounds on the first day, qualification rounds on the next day and the final race will be held on the last day.
The event has two formats of racing viz., F1 and F4. F1 is the adrenaline-filled main event for which the teams compete and F4 is the format for nurturing young talent in the sport of powerboat racing. Amravati Global Music and Dance festival is scheduled on the same days as F1H2O to entertain people, expected to attend the event.
