Survey only way to settle all land settlements, says KCR

He told the Assembly that previous governments had failed to update revenue records for decades.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said the ongoing land survey would help find a permanent solution to land disputes, and would be extended to towns and cities.

He told the Assembly that previous governments had failed to update revenue records for decades.

Mr Rao said land sold by TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy’s father in Nalgonda district had not been registered for 15 years. The issue was detected during the land survey, and the land registered in the buyer’s name.

“Uttam worked as minister in the Congress government. Even his land does not have proper records. This shows how previous governments worked,” Mr Rao said.

The Chief Minister dismissed allegations that the survey was being carried out by TRS activists who had been appointed to the farmer coordination councils.

“This is totally baseless. The survey is being done by the staff of the revenue department,” he said.
