Space startup TARAMANDAL wins prestigious award

Visakhapatnam: TARAMANDAL, Andhra Pradesh's first space startup, has won the "Best Emerging Startup of the Year 2023 Award" in the space sector from Headstart, India's largest grassroots-level organisation dedicated to nurturing startups and entrepreneurship.

TARAMANDAL was founded by a group of visionary alumni from Andhra University and is focused on transforming the space industry through the development of sustainable satellites and the creation of a harmonious orbital ecosystem.

Their innovative space technologies have gained recognition from prestigious organisations like IN-SPACE, Isro, ASA, TASA, SIA-INDIA, ISPA, and CII.

TARAMANDAL recently received the "Best Emerging Start-up of the Year 2023 Award" in the space sector from Headstart, where they excelled among more than 2,000 applicants from over 20 cities.

Prof. P. Mallikarjun Rao from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Andhra University has been nominated as the mentor of TARAMANDAL, significantly contributing to the startup's success.

Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University, P.V.G.D. Prasad Reddy, congratulated Team TARAMANDAL on this prestigious achievement. CEO of the Incubation Centre, Ravi Eswarapu, was also lauded for his role in supporting the startup ecosystem.
