Telangana legislators get the highest salaries in country.

Hyderabad: With the early dissolution of the state Assembly, MLAs will lose salaries for four to eight months. The Speaker and Cabinet ministers, however, will continue to get their salaries.
In the regular course, the Assembly elections were due only in April-May next year which is eight months away. If, as caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao anticipates, the elections are held in December, the MLAs who win again will have lost four months of salary. If they are defeated, they will not get the salary which they would got till April-May.
TS legislators get the highest salaries in the country. Each legislator is paid Rs 2.5 lakh per month. By this count, some will lose Rs 10 lakh and some others, Rs 20 lakh.
