Valmiki jayanti on October 5
Nellore: The temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is set to observe Valmiki Maharshi Jayanti on October 5 across the two Telugu states in a big way.
A review meeting in this regard was conducted by Tirupati JEO P. Bhaskar in Vengamamba Hall at SVETA building on Wednesday with Dharma Prachara Mandali members.
Speaking on this occasion, the JEO said, the services of Srivari Sevakulu is extensively used in the respective areas to involve the people in huge numbers.
“There will be Ramayana Pravachanam all the day till night in majority places in twin Telugu states. The DPM members also take part to motivate the public.
Small books on the life of Sri Valmiki Maharshi would be distributed among the public. In a similar manner, the Managudi programme which will be observed in the auspicious month of Karthika should also be observed in a big way in the two states,” he added.
Earlier, the JEO launched the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad website and collected the feedback from DPM members. HDPP secretary Ramakrishna Reddy, Kalyanotsavam Project special officer Prabhakar Rao were also present.
