Modern Art Gallery official Bhargavi wins PR award
HYDERABAD: Dr. Harsha Bhargavi, assistant director (PR), of the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, was awarded the Dr. CVN-PRSI best PR manager national award on Sunday. The CVNPR Foundation and Public Relations Society of India's (PRSI) Hyderabad chapter jointly organised the Public Relations Education Day to mark the birth anniversary of public relations guru Dr. C.V. Narasimha Reddy.
Flanked by Ambassador C. Rajashekar, the officer on special duty in the states Division, ministry of external affairs, Dr. Ajit Pathak, PRSI national president, IT expert Hemanth Satyanarayana and others, Dr. K.V. Ramanachary, advisor to the state government, gave away awards to best PR teachers, counsellors, and students.
While stressing the need for the right communication and positive PR from everyone, speakers hailed the services rendered by the late Dr. Narasimha Reddi to the PR profession and education. In response to a request placed by the PRSI Hyderabad chapter and Dr. Ramanachary, Dr. Ajit Pathak declared that August 6 would be celebrated across the nation as the National PR Education Day.
About 200 PR and corporate communication professionals from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Tamilnadu, and Maharashtra took part in the PR Education Day celebrations.
Ramanachary, called upon every government, private and corporate department, and business establishment to appoint a PR officer to disseminate the right message while countering false propaganda against them.
A. Rajesh of the South Central Railway PR win received a jury award. Dr. Sajida Khan was one of the winners.
