Hyderabad: MIM floor leader in Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi called on Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday at the latter’s residence in Jubilee Hills.
The meeting of the two leaders assumes significance in political circles as it comes against the backdrop of the Karimnagar police registering a hate speech case against Mr Owaisi on the direction of the district court of Karimnagar.
Karimnagar BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar has said that if the state government fails to take action on the complaint which was registered on the direction of the lower court, the National Investigation Agency will swing into action. Right wing outfits are also mounting pressure on the state government to arrest Mr Owaisi.
