Tussle over liquor led to killing, says BJP president
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president P.S. Sreedharan Pillai said the murder in Uppala which was not related to politics and hence should not be used for political advantage. He said according to information available with him the murder took place following a tussle between two groups who were consuming alcohol. The murder was ghastly and all those behind the incident should be arrested and punished.
“It is very painful that a Musim brother lost his life in the incident. The killers should be given exemplary punishment,” he said.
CPM worker Abubacker Siddique who stays in Sonkar Prathap Nagar was brutally murdered last night by a gang which came in bike.
DYFI state vice president Manikandan had alleged that the murder was carried out with the knowledge of RSS leadership.
RSS worker Aswath had reached Siddique’s place in a bike following an argument over liquor sale. Another person had accompanied him to the spot. During the argument over liquor issue, the RSS worker pulled out a knife and stabbed Siddique. According to police, several criminal cases are pending against Aswath.
